Working Together Towards professional Media Practice
Initially mooted in late 2004, Prince Ahmed bin Salman Institute (PAI) has developed significantly from the institute which made its initial foray into training in 2005 with the delivery of training courses in printing and color management, to its current status as the pre-eminent Media Institute in Saudi Arabia. Its official inauguration - in April 2008 - under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh, was the culmination of years of unstinting effort from its dedicated staff.
The establishment of Prince Ahmed bin Salman Applied Media Institute came about in response to calls from the media sector for qualified and specialized professional human resources to be at the vanguard in the rapidly developing field of Arab and international media and journalism.
Here, in state-of-the art classrooms and labs, trainees work intently, collaborating on projects reflecting current best media-industry practice. Enter a training lab and it is immediately obvious from the confident air of industry that trainees have risen to the challenge of working with professional equipment and instructional materials of the highest standard. Trainees in the Institute develop and present their projects in a supportive, professional environment, pushing the limits of creativity, while maintaining a firm professional development base.
